The article talks about the trend of Parnassism and its representatives, which was popular in France in the 19th century and had its influence on Turkish literature. The state of poetry during the activity of the French Parnassians and their ideas about art are analyzed. In Turkish literature, especially in the era of “Sarvat-i Funun”, the aesthetic views of Parnassians who wrote and created, and the form and content of their works are investigated.
