Cultural tourism has become a key driver of regional development, particularly in areas rich in historical and cultural heritage. The Central Aran economic-geographical region of Azerbaijan possesses signifi-cant potential for cultural tourism due to its archaeological sites, traditional crafts, and ethnographic diversity. This study examines the development strategies of cultural tourism in the region and evaluates its socio-economic impacts. Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, including statistical analysis and field observations, the study identifies major challenges and opportunities. The findings suggest that strategic investment, infrastructure development, and community involvement are crucial for sustainable tourism growth. Additionally, cultural tourism contributes significantly to employment generation, income diversification, and regional identity preservation.
