The presented scientific research is devoted to the analysis of the evolution of coverage of Azerbaijan-related topics in Russian media over the period from 2000 to 2024. Using the “Medialogia” analytical platform, 4,694 media materials published by leading Russian media outlets were examined, which made it possible to identify the main trends in changes in media attention toward Azerbaijan. The results demonstrate a significant transformation in coverage approaches: a shift from predominantly economic topics to political issues, an increase in analytical genres, and changes in the tone of publications. A correlation between the intensity of media coverage and critical events in bilateral relations has been identified, which is confirmed by the presence of peak points in publication activity during periods of regional conflicts (2008, 2016, 2020, and 2023).
