Abstract
This article examines the linguistic and stylistic features of poet-translator Boyukagha Kasumzade`s translation of Muhammad Fuzuli`s "Saginama" into our native language. The article analyzes the poet-translator`s skills in preserving the rhyme scheme, phonetic features, and poetic figures of the original, using numerous examples. As is well known, a certain degree of translator`s freedom is allowed for the sake of high mastery in poetic translation. The study also examines the translator`s favorite words added to the text. The translator, with a deep understanding of the subtleties of Persian, the poetic language of the Muslim East, demonstrated Fuzuli`s sincerity and devotion with his exquisite translation. The poet-translator, who grasped the substantive features of the work and the subtleties of its aesthetic function, was able to convey to the reader not only the content but also the author`s emotions and feelings.
