Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the genesis of gold placers and their redistribution, with an em-phasis on the features of gold formation and distribution in the main rivers of the north-eastern part of the Lesser Caucasus (Azerbaijan). Various lithogenetic factors, such as genetic types of sediments, sed-imentary processes, and their influence on the migration and concentration of gold in sediments are considered. The study also includes an analysis of the influence of mineralogical and geomorphological features of the region on the process of placer formation. Particular attention is paid to the interaction of gold-bearing minerals with other components of sedimentary rocks under the conditions of geologi-cal features of this region. The work is aimed at identifying patterns of gold distribution depending on lithogenetic conditions, which is of practical importance for the effective development of gold-bearing resources.
