Nizami’s thoughts the jewel of medieval Azerbaijani literature, have always attracted the attention of Russian scientists – Orientalists. It is for this reason that the academician A.O.Makovelsky, to express his thoughts on the power of the word and artistic creation, refers to the poems of Nizami included in «Khamsa» («Quintuple»). The author tries to show how valuable source is Nizami’s work, reflecting love and humanism. Thus, to prove that the heritage of Nizami as a monument of national culture should always be the object of research for scientists – Orientalists.
