The journal of scientific research of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University has been published since 1922, when the faculty was founded. Although there were breaks in the publication of the journal at certain times, in the 1970s the collection “Oriental Studies” was published twice a year. During the years of its publication, the journal has published dozens of valuable articles on the history, economy, socio-political life, literature, linguistics, culture of the peoples of the Near and Middle East, and on other topical topics. The authors of the articles were mainly teachers of the faculty, as well as young employees working on dissertations, and in rare cases, especially distinguished students. After a long break, the journal of Oriental Studies is resuming its publication. The journal will continue its publication in an international status, the circle of authors will also expand sufficiently, and from time to time, selected studies from the world heritage of Oriental studies will also be included in the journal.
